Kent Quilters is a community quilt group which formed in the fall of 2014 at the Kent Memorial Library. Local women came together and created a log-cabin quilt to raise money for the library. We had so much fun with that project that we have continued, working with a different local nonprofit organization every year.
2023 has been an exciting year for the Quilters.
For the first 6 months we had an exhibition on view at the Bradley International Airport!
In September our Veterans Committee Quilt hung in an exhibition at the Woodbridge Library.
We sold many things during Kent Sale Days, to benefit KCSSF.
We participated in the Kent Memorial Library's Carnival this Labor Day weekend. We had a craft table set up to make book marks!
From September 2nd to October 28, we have a Quilt Walk in Kent. Maps are available at merchants throughout town. If you visit 8 locations, there is a handmade prize for you over at Sundog. The quilts are all for sale, and the sales benefit Kent Center School Scholarship Fund. Check it out! Enjoy the walk through town, and think about getting one of the many gorgeous quilts made by this very talented and creative group!
